Cedar Springs June 2004

it's been weeks since the Cedar Springs Match. I've attended a couple of practices since then and it's kind of hard to remember much of the match. I do remember the weather was great! Sunny with the odd cloud moving over the range. The temperature was comfortable and not too hot. Th winds on Saturday were from 3-8 mph and on Sunday they were stronger and more difficult to shoot through. Still some of the other F-Class shooters faired out well indeed. Isn't that right Terry? Terry came away from the 600 yard markers with a clean. 15 Veebulls. I thought he was kidding as I shot 6-5's, 8-V's and a bummer 4 blew out the right side just missing the bull-5 right at the waterline. The F-F's are proving to be a tough bunch as Jim Thompson (F-F) won overall on a count-back against Bob Pastor, ouch! Terry Perkins followed in 2nd place in F-Unlimited. Congrats to the winners.

I don't have the TR scores but I believe Brian Kaufman came out on top in the TR class. The grass on the range had been freshly cut so it was a real pleasure shooting on the range. Below are some photos that Fazal forwarded to me taken at the match.

We had a teams shoot event which consisted of 4 four-man teams. Our team consisted of Dixon, Tabandeh, Kajfes and Halmo. It was the first time I ever did any wind coaching for other shooters and we managed to come in second in the match. Maybe I should have listened to some of the calls I was making in the team match when I was shooting in the singles events.
